Structure is not value: the report and Spihra

It's hard to aim for a value you've never imagined.

In this episode, Anna Carlsson takes you through the two things she released in the same week: the free report From Structure to Value, HR priorities for 2027, and Spihra, the model and tool behind it, built together with Åsa Landin at People Dimension.

Anna starts with the argument that carries the whole report. Structure isn't the same thing as value, and the real return on HR technology, data and AI arrives later in the journey than most organisations expect. It sits just past the point where most of them stop.

She holds that picture against the latest Nordic figures on digital maturity, and against her own honest reckoning of what she got wrong a year ago about AI.

The episode covers the five levels of maturity and the value curve at the heart of the report, and why the third level, where everything works, is such a risky place to stop. You'll also hear two of the seven reasons organisations get stuck, including the simple question Anna asks in every training and the answer she almost never gets.

Anna then explains how Spihra works underneath. She describes the four areas the model measures, the 12 dimensions and 11 enabling factors, and how a recommended target level and a staged path are derived from the dependencies between them.

She also goes through how the business case is built, with ten KPIs with floors and ceilings and cost savings kept apart from created value. The assumptions are visible enough for a CFO to challenge, and a second measurement within twelve months shows what a move actually created.

The episode closes with three priorities for 2027, a tip on how to use the free quick assessment inside your own organisation, and Anna's own conclusion: the Nordics have the skills, the technology and the will, and the missing piece is movement.
